So I absolutely LOVE Pitch Perfect. The characters were awesome, the soundtrack was amazing, the performances made you want to find your nearest a cappella group and join it immediately. So when I found out there was going to be a sequel I was SO pumped.
I tried so hard to reread the book before I went to the movie, but I barely got half done. But you know what? It doesn’t even matter. I remembered the big part, and yes there were some things I would lean over and whisper to my mom “this is different,” but it didn’t detract from the movie at all. At all. There were things out of order and things were wrong and not as I pictured and I was still so absolutely engrossed in it. It was perfection. Continue reading
YOU GUYS, this movie is awesome. And not so awesome. I, personally have some mixed emotions. Below I shall establish a pros and cons list as well as a book vs. movie list depending on how many I can write that won’t give away the movie/book for those of you who haven’t seen/read it yet.
I actually saw this on opening weekend, last weekend, with my sister. So this is incredibly delayed and I sincerely apologize. Continue reading
I told you guys I had a lot to say today. I was very busy this weekend. Friday night I saw “The Heat” with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. Oh my god. I was crying I laughed so hard. Continue reading
So I love The Great Gatsby. It is such an amazing book. So when I saw that they turned it into a movie I just about had a heart attack. When I saw that Leonardo DiCaprio was playing Jay Gatsby, I could not even contain myself. Be warned, this review may be biased towards my unconditional love for both this book and Leo. This is a couple of days behind, so I’m really sorry. But Friday I saw “Safe Haven” and it was so incredibly good! There were so many differences, and it usually bothers me when they change things in movies, but for whatever reason it didn’t bother me too much with this movie because I thought it was so well done.
I had the good fortune to have a friend with a car visit me at school this weekend. I decided to take advantage of that and make them take me off campus to see a movie. I basically gave them no choice and said we are seeing Silver Linings Playbook with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence because it looks good and I want to see it before it leaves theaters. And let me tell you, so worth it. Continue reading
Oh my gosh. This movie… I just have no words. It was so amazing. For a movie 2 hours and 50 minutes long, not once did I feel like it was a long movie or that it was dragging on and on. I was entranced the entire time. For some reason I did not expect so much singing, but thinking about how it’s a Broadway musical, I should have known better. Sometimes it was a little hard to understand what they were saying when they were singing, but I figured it all out in the end. Sometimes I was a little delayed, but I got it. Continue reading
Another fun fact about me, I am a fan of the Twilight Saga. Go ahead and judge if you’re not, but I thought the books were cute. Yes, I started reading them after I had seen the first movie, therefore I read them when they were popular because I am a trend follower, but I finished the series in about a week. Continue reading
